Coming to the Tucan? We are 100 meters east of the Costal Highway at the Uvita Crossroads. Look for the Banco de Costa Rica. See the directions below:

From San José

From San José take the Interamerican Highway south to San Isidro de El General, then the road southwest to Dominical, then the coast road south to Uvita.

By Bus - Take the Musoc bus To San Isidro. Buses leave San Jose every hour. The cost is $5 and the trip is 3 hours.
In San Isidro, to the Uvita bus to Uvita. Busses leave San Isidro at 9am and 4 pm. The station is 3 blocks south of the Musoc station on the main road. The cost is $2 and the trip is just under 2 hours. Uvita is about 40 minutes south of Dominical.

From Quepos (Manuel Antonio)

From Quepos or Manuel Antonio, just take the coast road south past Dominical and into Uvita. The road is gravel and under construction to Dominical. There, you join the new Costal Highway.

By Bus - You can take the San Isidro bus to Dominical and change to the Uvita bus. The San Isidro bus leaves Quepos at 5 AM and 1:30 PM takes about 2 hrs and costs about $1.50. The Uvita bus leaves Dominical at 10 AM and 5 PM takes about 1 hr and costs about $0.75. You can also take the Uvita bus from Quepos. Check at the terminal for times. There are 2 buses - one at about 10:30 AM and the other at about 6:30 PM. It takes about 3 hrs and costs about $1.50.

From Panama

Two Options

Option 1: Take the Frontera shuttle to Ciudad Neily. From there catch the Dominical Bus. The bus leaves Neily at 6am and 2:30pm. 3hours and $4.

Option 2: Catch the David, Panama-San Jose, Costa Rica bus operated by Tracopa.
Get off at either Palmar or San Isidro (your choice) and catch the Uvita busses from those locations.
